GOD said to Joshua, “This very day I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all Israel. They’ll see for themselves that I’m with you in the same way that I was with Moses”. – Joshua 3:7
God selected Joshua to be Moses’ spiritual successor. One important truth in the above verse is that God wants Israel to know that it is not Moses but God who is behind all the great miracles. In this quick fix world, it is very easy to forget the source of our blessings and go behind human channels. We need to remember that it is God alone who can do marvelous and mighty things. We also need to acknowledge that every good thing is from God (James 1:17)
Keep our eyes always on Jesus
On one Sunday, I was sitting in a church in India, when one woman came forward to testify the great things God had done in her life. Her testimony was around thanking the leader of the Church rather than giving glory to God. Many of us can sometimes identify with this Christian woman. We trust people to bring in healing and deliverance but hardly seek God with our whole heart. It is good to go to prayer festivals and miracle crusades, but our eyes should always be fixed on Jesus. When we know this truth, we will be set free from many confusions in our life. Let not the enemy deceive you.
