Solomon, one of the wisest and wealthiest men who lived on the face of the earth says, “The blessings of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow to it.” This is called the Good Success.
Man spends a great deal of his life in getting rich and famous. There is a wise saying – “Man spends his health to get wealth and later spends his wealth to get healthy.” It is a Zero sum game. The Bible says that it is the Lord who makes a person truly rich.
If one were to look at one’s successes, the motive has always been to get Happy. Happiness is the core reason for all our intentions and actions. We are programmed that way. The difference between one striving to get rich and God helping someone to get rich lies in the second half of the verse – “He adds no sorrow to it.”
Research says that people who have more wealth worry more. It is a natural feeling. The secret in today’s passage is that along with God’s blessing comes God’s insurance. Prov 16:3 – Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your paths
The Bible says that God’s thoughts and far higher than ours. It makes sense to let the better person do all the planning and strategy for your life. There is nothing better than committing your ways to the one who knows the end from the beginning.
Delight in God
Ps 37:4 – Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart.
